Yeah, Ryback used to be a thing, and that’s hard to believe. Ryback’s gimmick was that he smashed things, which is not a gimmick. The WWE gave him the nickname “Big Hungry,” which is less of a nickname and more of just two words randomly paired together with inappropriate capital letters. Because none of these marketing ploys were getting Ryback liked by the fans, the WWE decided to add a layer onto that gimmick called “revenge.” Now, aside from being a guy who likes to smash things smaller than him, he’s also a poor sport. That’s the hero of this feud.

Once the revenge was over, he was just a guy who smashed things again. The fans were starting to get smart to the con that the WWE was only making him look popular, and only a dozen or so well placed speakers aside, no one was chanting “Feed Me More,” anymore. The WWE hit the panic button and turned him heel against Cena, citing his reason as “revenge.” Hey, wait a second!

Roman Reigns doesn’t have a gimmick. No one is chanting any cool catchphrases for Reigns, like “Feed Me More,” “Ryback,” and “Goldberg.” Bummer. His current gimmick? Revenge. What happens when the revenge is gone, and Roman is just a big guy smashing things?
